National Week of Deaf People Launch at RSPCA!

To kick off the week long celebrations, come along and join us all in touring the facilities at RSPCA and see the wonderful work that they do for abandoned or neglected animals. Have you ever wondered how gold was discovered or how it is melted down to a gold bar. WAAD is delighted to ensure that a special tour is made accessible for Deaf and hard of hearing with their families to tour the historic Perth Mint where the coins are made! Make sure you RSVP as there is a limited number of people allowed on the tour.

Annually, the WA Deaf Society 50+ club is invited to gather together with a group of Deaf high school students on an outing or activity during National Week of Deaf People. This has been hugely successful in the past and is often a favourite amongst the old and young generations of the Deaf community!
